DCI's Resource Centre is
unique and serves as a central collecting point of information published
worldwide on children's rights issues. The collection is vast, covering
issues such as child soldiers, sexual exploitation, child labour, street
children, children in conflict with the law, child maltreatment and
juvenile justice.
DCI's Resource
Centre was created as a means of raising awareness about children's
rights at the international level. Since its inception in 1987, the
collection has grown to a total of over 17,000 individually indexed
items. It is accessible to the general public and often used by
researchers.
The collection is multilingual and composed of articles, case studies
and reports from journals and serial publications, monographs,
magazines, newsletters, newspaper clippings, books and official
documents (UN system and individual governments).
