The child, for the full and harmonious development of his or her personality, should grow up in a family environment, in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding Preamble of the Convention on the Rights of the Child Presentation The exhibition focuses on the impacts of the occupation on the life of Palestinian children. It explores their strange playgrounds: children playing in front of checkpoints, children playing at throwing stones at soldiers- a game that could be deadly; children playing in the rubble of their own houses or in a kindergarten threatened by demolition order. Children and young people in Palestine particularly suffer from day-to-day effects of the Israeli military occupation. Their words and attitudes are not from their age.
