After a long and discouraging wait, the Secretary General has finally announced the appointment of Marta Santos Pais as the first Special Representative on Violence Against Children.

DCI is extremely pleased with the appointment of Ms. Santos Pais, an experienced child rights advocate who will be a strong voice for children.
