Executive International Council
DCI's International Executive Council (IEC) consists of 10 elected members (including the President and Treasurer) representing the whole movement. Three members are from Africa, three from Latin America, three from Europe and one from Australasia and North America. The IEC meets at least once a year. From among its members, the IEC elects regional vice-presidents who take particular responsibility for communications with sections in their region. The IEC monitors the work of the International Secretariat, recognises new sections, and takes action to develop and maintain the global movement. It also appoints a Secretary-General to manage the International Secretariat.
